An MP from Britain’s ruling Conservative party has resigned over a porn video. Tory MP Neil Parish admitted that he watched a sex film in the House of Commons in London on Saturday. “I think I must have been completely out of good spirits,” Parish told the BBC. The time he watched the porn was a “crazy moment and also completely wrong.”

Parish, who has been a Member of Parliament since 2010, was suspended by his Conservative group over Friday’s incident. At least two MPs had previously complained to him.

Parish said he initially landed on the porn website by accident in the BBC interview. He was looking for tractors on the Internet, said the 65-year-old ex-farmer, who most recently chaired the Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Instead of the tractor’s page, he “stumbled upon another site with a similar name, and I looked around for a while, which I shouldn’t have done,” he said.

My greatest crime is that I came back a second time on another occasion, which was on purpose, the Conservative continued. This time he was on the website while waiting in the House of Commons to cast his vote in a vote. Contrary to some reports, however, he did not want his colleagues in Parliament to see what he was doing, Parish emphasized. “I didn’t want people to see that. I’ve tried pretty much the opposite.”

A sexist debate recently shook the British Parliament. As recently became known, the internal complaints office in Parliament is currently investigating allegations against at least 56 members for sexual misconduct.
