NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 Will Consume 800 Watts of Power

It became known information about the power consumption of the top graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce RTX series 4000, based on the graphics processor NVIDIA AD102. The gaming flagship will consume at least 800 watts of power, and that's without overclocking. Partner versions will come close to the limit of consumption of 1000 watts.

Unfortunately, it is not known precisely which NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series will consume much energy. However, based on the previous generation, the conclusions are simple: the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card and its option for professional use, such as NVIDIA TITAN.

The AD102 GPU will offer 18432 CUDA cores, and the less productive NVIDIA AD103 will cost 10752 CUDA cores and give life to the GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card with a power consumption of about 500 watts, and its laptop version will consume only 175 watts.

Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 with chip AD106 will receive 4608 cores CUDA and consume 260 watts of power in the version for desktop computers and 140 watts in the performance for laptops.

This consumption is justified by the new connector PCI-Express 5.0, capable of giving up to 600 watts of energy through one slot.
