It’s “a good time to move on and see what else is out there”: James Corden hands over the moderation of his late-night show – and promises a farewell with a “bang.”
James Corden has been moderating the CBS show “The Late Late Show” since 2015 – but now the 43-year-old is about to say goodbye: It’s a “good time to move on and see what else is out there,” he said. He announced his decision during the recording of the current issue.
The show was always “a journey, an adventure,” but he never saw it as his “ultimate goal.” The late-night show changed his life. “I am so proud of what we have achieved. It exceeded my wildest, wildest dreams.
He’ll be staying with the show for another year, promising it would end “with a bang” and – as he predicted – with “so many tears.” There is no information about a possible successor.
Corden is British but lives in the United States. Cordon has become known, among other things, through clips in which he reenacts musicals and Disney films together with stars on busy intersections or organizes »Carpool Karaoke. « He drives around with celebrities in the car and sings with them. Stars like Barbra Streisand, Adele, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Bieber have already participated. The videos are then aired on his late-night show.
Corden, who has starred in films such as »The Three Musketeers, «Cats, « or »The Prom, «has also hosted award ceremonies such as the Grammys and the Tony Awards.
